Basically, they are systems produced for the purpose of isolation. It is possible to produce low density polyurethane foams from systems produced for filling and packaging purposes.
Especially used in polyurethane panel refrigerator, solar energy etc. industries. We also have B1 fireproof class polyurethane raw materials.
The mixture of polyol system and polymeric isocyanate (PMDI) expands with the help of an extruder to form a rigid foam. These foams are called rigid foams because 90-92% of the foam cells formed are closed and they give a rigid structure. They are good heat-holders. Therefore, rigid systems are used for thermal insulation.
